DIAN organizes training courses on remote sensing with satellite and ground based sensors, SAR technology, applications to monitor displacements and measure infrastructural vibrations.

The courses offer a thorough overview of the potential of satellite and ground based radar data for infrastructural and environmental monitoring. Starting with a general introduction to remote sensing, the course examines the issue of interferometry using synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data, geared towards an operational use of the results and illustrate its application in various contexts.

The course is intended for technical employees of both public administration bodies and the private sector, and professional figures, such as geologists and engineers, working in the field of environmental and infrastructural monitoring.
